ORDINATION STOLE

inkle weaving + embroidery. 2023.

I was honored to create this stole as a gift for my brother, Sean McConathy, on the day of his ordination. This was my first time inkle weaving (I promptly snapped one of the dowels off the loom in an attempt to advance the weaving) and definitely my last time trying to embroider on such chunky woven fabric! Overall it was a joy to create and present on such a special day.
